At the same time, on the other half of the spectrum, we hear the ever more common and chilling statistics that “Depression and anxiety are the leading cause for ill health and disability, worldwide.” That's good to know, we say, then we cultivate our conscious garden, take it in and let it go again.

It would serve us greatly to remember more often, that these two realities are a matter of degree and not of kind.
